Repair your skin from aging, acne scars, and sun-damage; resulting in fresher, younger looking skin.

Typically requiring only a single treatment, our Skin Retexturizing procedure of the entire face with any of our resurfacing lasers takes one hour. Patients are advised to arrive an hour prior to the procedure for application of a topical numbing cream.
Day 1 - Your first appointment: Most patients tolerate the procedure very well after application of topical anesthetic cream. Some also request OTC pain relievers (Tylenol). If you suffer from anxiety, we can also provide
nitrous oxide gas for those who request it. Most patients do not have any complications. In patients with darker skin types, temporary bronzing of the skin or brown spots can occur. The pigmentation usually resolves in 4 weeks or less.
There is a risk of skin infection with herpes simplex after many different facial treatments so follow your doctor's instructions carefully. You may be prescribed medication prior to your treatment to eliminate this risk.
You will see initial results between 7-10 days after your laser resurfacing treatment, but your skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see the greatest improvement in the first 2-3 weeks. This is followed by a
dermal regeneration phase that continues to improve for months after your treatment. The following is a general outline of our Skin Retexturizing treatment timeline:
• Day 2 - Recovery: After your initial treatment, your skin will return to normal after 48 hours (+5 days with Halo laser treatment)
• Day 7 - Return to regular activities: After one week, patients can wear makeup and go back to a daily exercise routine.
• Day 14 - Treatment effects subside: Slight swelling will be seen in the first two weeks after treatment, but this is will soon subside.
• Day 35 - Collagen production begins: New collagen production begins about five weeks after your treatment.
• Day 35-90 - Skin retexturizing complete: Visible improvement is seen by an average of one to three months after the procedure.
