They all have different acne concerns ranging from hormonal to teenage or adult acne. Many patients are seeing great results with a combination of oral or topical treatments and Isolaz. What is Isolaz?
Isolaz is a device that involves a vacuum and a broadband light handpiece. The vacuum allows isolation of a selected area of the skin and the beam of light destroys the acne-causing bacteria. In addition, the vacuum lifts and brings the acne closer to the surface of the skin allowing for potential extractions after treatment. The benefits of Isolaz treatments is that it treats all types of acne concerns and there is no downtime.
Who is a good candidate?
Isolaz treatments require a doctor’s referral and patients can schedule both the exam and Isolaz treatments at our office. All patients with acne concerns are good candidates and the most common areas we treat are the face and back. Isolaz treatments are covered by most medical plans.
How long does treatment last?
We recommend Isolaz treatments every two weeks for about three months with each treatment session lasting anywhere between 15-30 minutes. At the end of the three months, patients will be re-evaluated by one of our medical practitioners to determine if more treatments are needed.
How soon can I see results?
Results vary depending on the severity of your acne. We have some patients that see results immediately and others by the second or third treatment. I also recommend using a high-quality skin regimen along with treatment such as Environ’s C-boost or Glytone’s 3P Gel. Both products help absorb oil and have anti-inflammation properties that kill bacteria.
