Medical Assistant in Dermatology
South Lake Union - Seattle, WA
Our Medical Assistants assist providers and other members of the health care team in the clinic by performing a variety of back office and patient-related tasks and ensuring smooth patient and workflow within the department. MAs will also perform variety of patient care procedures within the Medical Assistant (MA) scope of practice. These procedures may include but are not limited to: injections, wound care, assisting with surgerie and blood draws, measuring patient vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, and temperature),manage rooming and patient flow including pre-visit preparation, assisting with the patient visit, and post-visit duties. MAs inform providers of schedule changes that impact patient flow, assist with front office activities and varied scheduling tasks and reports test results as directed by the provider.
Major Duties:
Must be a team player and willing to roll up your sleeves and help with anything that needs to be done to achieve optimal patient care; capable of working independently and exercising good judgment in handling a variety of situations. Must also have the ability to maintain confidentiality in business, personal and medical information; excellent customer service skills; very good listening skills and a collaborative and cooperative attitude.
Position Qualitifications:
Previous experience working in dermatology, excellent communication skills, the ability to learn quickly and be flexible in a rapidly growing and changing work environment and multi-task in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment. Masters of Arts Graduate from an accredited program
and experience in EMR charting/scribing.

Clinical Research Coordinator in Dermatology
South Lake Union - Seattle, WA
At Dermatology Associates of Seattle, our Research Coordinators carry out research activities in support of each clinical study, carrying out moderately complex research assignments and assisting in study implementation. Maintains all regulatory and Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and files. Performs verification or other data coordination tasks. Prepares mailings of clinical study questionnaires and makes follow-up phone calls to participants. Works independently and with team members performing job assignments. Uses judgment in all activities. Reports to the Research Manager, Principal, and Sub Investigators, referring study issues on and/or soliciting guidance as necessary. Special skills and knowledge are applied in dealing with regulatory issues, including FDA and IRB reporting.
Major Duties:
Plans and coordinates the initiation of research study protocol, and the establishment of operating policies and procedures. Plans, implements, and maintains data collection and analysis systems in support of research protocol; may coordinate the collection and analysis of research data. Establishes and coordinates logistical arrangements for research subjects as appropriate to the study. Recruits, instructs, and coordinates research subjects and/or volunteers, as appropriate to specific study objectives and work scope. Ensures the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research and data collection activities. Performs aspects of research protocol, as required, in accordance with specified program objectives. Monitors the progress of research activities; develops and maintains records of research activities, as required by investigators, administrators, funding agencies, and/or regulatory bodies. Organizes and facilitates meetings, conferences, and other events associated with research activities. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
RN, LPN, or CMA/RMA. Position requires the ability to perform venous blood draws, skin tests, and injections for diagnostic and therapeutic agents. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Knowledge and understanding of the operational, logistical, and administrative requirements of laboratory, medical, and research studies. Ability to design and implement systems necessary to collect, maintains, and analyzes data. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Skill in collecting, analyzing, verifying, and manipulating research data. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in a diverse community. Knowledge of procurement rules and regulations. Ability to format and generate a summary, statistical, and presentation reports. Some traveling is necessary.
